Description SWMC carried out a model study of the Bhola Irrigation Project (under BWDB contract, ADB-funded) for an improved water management in the project area. SWMC developed a hydrodynamic model covering the important rivers and primary and secondary irrigation canals and applied different option runs for an improved O&M of the canal system. The model was run for two irrigation season and one drainage (monsoon) season. Tidal water levels and discharges were measured at several locations including deployment of CTP (conductivity/temperature/pressure meter) and 140 cross sections were surveyed as a part of the data collection programme.
