Description SWMC undertook the environment study that aimed at developing hydrodynamic and salinity models covering the whole KJDRP and Sundarban areas to cover the requirements of new environmental studies. The salient objectives of the project were to study the impact of the construction of proposed large regulator on the flow, salinity and sedimentation of the rivers, particularly in the Sundarban and Mongla port areas; investigate the proper location of the large control structure on the basis of drainage performance and impacts on the downstream rivers of the sundarban and Mongla Port area; and study the feasibility of Kaderia tidal basin. SWMC found out the effects on tidal movements, velocity and salinity in the Sundarban area for the large proposed regulator and compared the impacts of the large regulator with the change of its location as well. Other outputs of the project were temporal and spatial distribution of salinity in the Sundarban area for with and without project condition and tidal chrematistics of Kaderia tidal basin
