| Academic Chronology |
Mr. Kamal is a graduate in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1989. He obtained his Masters degree in Civil Engineering from the same University in 1996.

Mr. Kamal has more than 21 years’ experience in the field of hydrological and hydraulic mathematical modelling including 12 years’ experience in surface water quality modelling.

Since joining IWM in 1990, Mr. Kamal has been extensively trained in Mathematical Modelling at home and abroad. He successfully completed the Integrated Environment and Water Management (IEWM) course in 1999 at the then Institute for the Water Environment, VKI (now DHI), Denmark, and was awarded Diploma in recognition of his excellent achievement in the course. He is a Member of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), and registered as a Professional Engineer (PEng.) at Bangladesh Professional Engineers Registration Board (BPERB).
Mr. Kamal attended a number of national and international seminars and conferences. He has few publications to his credit on mathematical modelling of urban drainage and water quality, and other environment related issues.
