| Academic Chronology |
Mr. Zahid did his graduation in Civil Engineering from CUET in 1989 and later completed M. Sc. in Hydraulic Engineering, Branch- Coastal Engineering, from UNESCO-IHE, Delft, The Netherland in 1999 with specialization in the Design Manual for Labour-Intensive Shoreline Protection.

| Professional Track Record |
Mr. Zahid has about 18 years of working experience in the field of hydraulic and water resources engineering, which includes 8 years experience in numerical modelling. He has been serving IWM since February 2000. He started his professional carrier in 1990 as an Assistant Engineer in Development Design Consultants Limited and worked in a team of consultants for the Bangladesh Road Improvement Project, ADB Loan no. 839-BAN(SF); initially in the central planning office and later in the construction site of Dhaka-Chittagong National Highway. He joined Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) in June 1993 and served as an Assistant Engineer/Sub-divisional Engineer with Design and Planning Offices.

Mr. Zahid has attended a number of National and International Seminars and Conferences and has some publications to his credit on mathematical modelling. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (FIEB).
