Bangladesh Delegation Headed by Water Resources Minister Participates in the 6th WWF in France PDF Print E-mail

A three member Bangladesh delegation headed by Water Resources Minister Mr. Ramesh Chandra Sen MP participated in the 6th World Water Forum held during 12-17 March 2012 in Marseille, France. The Water Resources Minister was accompanied by Prof. Dr. M. Monowar Hossain, Executive Director, IWM and Mr. Partha Sarathi Sen, PO to the Minister. The theme of this year’s forum was “Together, Let us make this forum the time for solutions and commitments”. The Prime Minister of France François Fillon, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and other famous world leaders attended the event.


As a part of the activities of the event a High Level Round Table Meeting was arranged on Water Related Disaster where Mr. Ramesh Chandra Sen leaded on behalf of Bangladesh. During his presentation, he was assisted by Prof. Dr. M. Monowar Hossain. Besides this, Bangladeshi delegates also participated in the High Level Panel on Water & Disaster where disasters in the water sector of Bangladesh was discussed and appraised by the participants.
