Academic Chronology

Mr. Ahmad Asif Reza completed his graduation in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University of Asia Pacific (UAP) in January 2006 and joined IWM in February 2006. He started working in River Engineering Division. He completed his Masters Program from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven & Vrije Universiteit Brussels of Belgium in September 2011.

Professional Track Record Mr. Ahmad Asif Reza gathered wide experience in hydrology, hydraulics, morphology and mathematical modelling applied to Computational Hydraulics, River hydraulics and Water Resources Development Engineering during his tenure in River Engineering division. Ever since joining IWM, he has been involved in many important water resources projects in Bangladesh which involves in Hydrodynamic and morphological modelling of rivers using modelling system MIKE11, MIKE21C of DHI, Denmark. Moreover, he has grown expertise in determination of the impact and evaluating the performance of the existing or proposed structures, assessment of future development in river behavior, devising solution for arresting further bank erosion, formulating maintenance and monitoring plan, preparation of technical and financial proposals, assuring technical quality and timely completion, final technical and financial reporting.

Received number of trainings at home and abroad on data processing/analysis/ mapping software, 1D/2D modelling tools, River Erosion Management issues and solutions, etc.
Achieved membership from Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).

Successfully published one paper in 2nd International Conference on Advances in Civil Engineering of Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET) and one paper in Technical Journal of River Research Institute (RRI) Faridpur.
