Academic Chronology

Tanjia Akter Amy graduated in Civil Engineering from Military Institute of Science & Technology (MIST) on Dec 2007 and continuing Masters Degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

Professional Track Record

Ms. Amy has joined Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) on 1st January, 2008. Since then she has been working in the Water Resources Planning Division (WRP). Her experiences cover Historical Data Processing, GIS Mapping, Water Distribution Network Modelling, Demand Analysis for Water Distribution Network, Data Collection & Analysis for Water Consumption Assessment, GIS Based Land Use Analysis for Forecasting of Water Demand, Rainfall Data Analysis for NAM modeling, Analytical Design for Drainage Improvement and Mathematical Modelling for Drainage Design.


Ms. Amy has participated in few training programs as a trainee in IWM. Just after joining in IWM, she has received the inaugural training from IWM. She received formal and on-the-job trainings in Demand Management, Hydrodynamic Model (MIKE 11), GeoSFM Modelling, ArcView and Application of ArcGIS. She Participated in Master Plan Presentation on Water Supply, Drainage and Sewerage in connection with project titled as “Groundwater Management and Feasibility Study for 148 Pourashava having no piped water supply” in Dohar and Madhabdi Pourashavas. She is associate member of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).
