Mr. Rezaul Hasan obtained Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering with major in Irrigation and Water Management in 1997 from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU). Later he completed his Maters degree in Water Resources Engineering in 2001 from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He had also Post Graduate Diploma in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) from the Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT), BUET in 2003.

Mr. Reza has a professional experience of about 8 years in the field of computational hydraulics, computational hydrogeology, irrigation and drainage management, and groundwater management. He started his career as an Assistant General Manager in Dhaka Palli Bidyut Samity under Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board. He then worked as a Research Assistant in BUET-DUT Linkage Project for several years. This research project was clustered by BUET and the Technical University of Delft, the Netherlands. He was involved in the development of physical model set up for applying waves on dyke slopes. This type of works had been carried out for protecting embankments from wave erosion by using CC blocks. Since joining IWM, he has been involved in many important water resources projects in Bangladesh. He is a member of Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), member of Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS) and also member of Bangladesh Society of Agricultural Engineers (BSAE).

Mr. Reza has been extensively trained in mathematical modelling on MIKE 11, MIKE SHE and MODFLOW. He is also trained in the design of Water Control and River Training Works, Groundwater Management, Hydrometric Data Collection using modern technique and Geographical Information System (GIS). He participated some training as resource persons. He also attended a number of national and international workshops, seminars and conferences.
