Executive Director, IWM participates in the International Conference on Water and Wastewater Modelling and Management & the Geospatial World Forum in India
Professor Dr. M. Monowar Hossain, Executive Director, IWM participated in the International Conference on Water and Wastewater Modelling and Management and delivered a keynote paper on “Flood and Flood Management initiatives in Bangladesh” at Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi on 16 January 2018. The conference was organized by Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi, India.
The Executive Director also attended the Geospatial World Forum and presented a paper in the Session: Strengthening Regional Resilience with Geoinformation on Transboundary Cooperation in the South and South-East Asia for Geospatial information on the topic: “Avenues and Requisites for Successful Cooperation” held at Hyderabad International Convention Centre HICC), India on 18th January 2018. The Geospatial World Forum was organized by Geospatial Media and Communications Pvt Ltd, India.

The International Conference brought together the academic community, scientists and policy makers working on water and waste water modelling arena within and outside of the region on a common platform and facilitated continuous engagement of various stakeholders to strengthen research and bridge science policy gap at Jharkhand University. The Geospatial Forum Symposium took a multi-stakeholder and inter-disciplinary approach in bringing the innovative knowledge and solutions for Geospatial agenda from Global experts and Industries.
