POSITION VACANCY

Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) is an independent Trust established by the Govt. of the People's Republic of Bangladesh providing specialist services to the Government, national and international agencies in the field of water modelling, computational hydraulics and allied sciences. IWM has an excellent working environment and scope for career development through HRD programme both in-house and abroad. IWM is now looking for immediate appointment of the following position:

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title : Accounts Assistant

Reporting To : Manager, Accounts and Finance

No. of position: 01 (Contractual)

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in updating daily financial transaction into software.
  • Assist in maintaining project wise advance scenario.
  • Assist in advance adjustment process.
  • Assist in preparing all accounts related works with Gratuity and Provident Fund.
  • Assist in keeping all relevant documents ready for realizing a receivable.
  • Visit to some clients for realizing the receivable.
  • Visit to field on internal audit purpose as and when required.
  • Assist in preparing monthly salary and annual budget.
  • Assist in maintaining budgetary control and calculate the variance.
  • Calculate individual payroll tax.
  • Contribute at the time of Inventory.
  • Complete the task which would be assigned from time to time from the Management or from the Supervisor.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • At least Bachelor degree in Commerce with good academic records from a reputed University plus minimum 5 (five) years practical experience in accounts & finance related works.
  • OR BBA/Masters in Accounting/Finance with 1 (one) year experience.

Additional requirements:

  • Age must be below 35 years;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill;
  • Good command over MS office package.
  • The incumbent must have a can-do attitude and excellent interpersonal skill;
  • Good command over English (written and spoken) and in Bangla is highly desired;
  • Must be able to multi- task and have a mindset to work under pressure.
