Academic Chronology

Farhad Tasneem graduated in Water Resources Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in September 2015. In 2021, she was awarded German Academic Exchange Service- DAAD scholarship and completed MSc in Hydro Science & Engineering (HSE) from Technical University Dresden, Germany in 2023.

Professional Track Record

Mrs. Tasneem started her professional career at the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) in November 2016 and is presently serving as a Junior Specialist in the Water Supply, Sanitation, and Urban Water Management (WSU) Division. 

Since joining at IWM, Tasneem has been working in the field of Urban Water Management and has been involved in several Urban Water Supply & Sewerage Projects and developed her skills in Water Supply System Planning, Design, Supervision and preparation of Water & Sanitation Master Planning.

She has good knowledge of Hydraulic and Hydrodynamic Modelling as well as GIS Mapping in EPA SWMM, Bently Water GEMS, MIKE+, BASEMENT, HECRAS, QGIS and ArcGIS. She has also gained experience in Google Earth Engine Imagery analysis, Statistical and Climate Change Analysis tools such as RStudio and Panoply & LARS-WG.
