Academic Chronology

Hasan Mahmud Al Jaber completed his B.Sc. in Water Resources Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh, in June 2024, achieving a CGPA of 3.75 out of 4.00 and securing the 5th position in his class. He is a recipient of the Dean's List Award and University Merit Scholarship from BUET. He is currently pursuing a M.Sc. in Water Resources Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

Professional Track Record

Mr. Hasan Mahmud Al Jaber has been serving as a Junior Engineer at the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) since July 2025 in the Water Supply, Sanitation and Urban Water Management Division. His work focuses on river water quality improvement and pollution control, with responsibilities spanning water quality monitoring, database management, institutional coordination and capacity building, and support to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in pollution mitigation initiatives.

Previously, he worked as a Research Consultant at the Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) from February to July 2025 in the Climate Change and Disaster Management Division. His responsibilities included climate change vulnerability and risk assessments, geospatial analysis, preparation of training and capacity-building materials, and technical reporting.

Mr. Jaber possesses strong technical expertise in hydrologic and hydrodynamic modeling, geospatial and statistical analysis, hazard and risk mapping, and integrated water resources management. He is proficient in tools such as ArcGIS, SWAT, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, WetSpass-M, and AutoCAD, and has practical experience in stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, inter-agency coordination, and client-oriented reporting.
