Academic Chronology

Md. Jakir Hosen completed BSc in Engineering from the World University of Bangladesh (WUB), Dhaka, in 2025, and obtained his Diploma in Civil Engineering from Bogura Polytechnic Institute (BPI) in 2017.

Professional Track Record

Md. Jakir Hosen has been with the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) since January 2021, where he contributes significantly to diverse national projects. His experience in AutoCAD & ArcGIS expertise encompasses water network design, GIS mapping, and standard drawing preparation for major projects, including the ADB-funded DWSNIP. He has prepared detailed designs for WDN and transmission mains, developed GIS shapefiles for DMAs in Khulna WASA, and produced comprehensive drawings for SWIP chambers, valve chambers, PTW compounds, pump houses, and various pipeline crossings. He also has strong site supervision expertise, particularly in cast-in-situ pile construction, ensuring accuracy, quality control, and proper execution. His skills span network design, GIS mapping, technical documentation, and field supervision for water supply projects across Bangladesh.
