Mr. Rafiuzzaman Khan has been with the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) since 2023, where he contributes significantly to diverse national projects. His expertise encompasses water quality management (including Water Quality database management and data analysis, Water Quality Index (WQI) calculation, and Water Pollution Control Action Plan preparation, Pollution Source Identification) and environmental management (including Solid Waste Management, Sludge Management, Wastewater management). A core focus of his work is on Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), alongside environmental and social compliance, and the assessment of SDG indicators related to water and environment. He is highly proficient in the preparation of key project documentation, such as ESIA reports and feasibility studies, and performs advanced GIS analysis and map preparation. Furthermore, Mr. Khan is instrumental in field operations, conducting various surveys, including Key Informant Interviews (KII), Focused Group Discussions (FGD), Public Consultations, and stakeholder consultations across various groups, including institutions, industries, communities (including the Rohingya Camp). His comprehensive support also extends to literature reviews, stakeholder analysis and mapping, capacity building support, and coordination through workshops and meetings.
