Md. Arifur Rahman has played a pivotal role in several large-scale IT and infrastructure projects during his tenure as Junior System Specialist at the Institute of Water Modelling (2010–present) and earlier as Network Engineer at Transcom Limited (2008–2010). His contributions include end-to-end system administration, covering the design, installation, and management of DNS, Mail, Web, FTP, Proxy, and File servers, alongside comprehensive Cisco-based network solutions. He has successfully overseen the management and maintenance of a data center comprising 300+ computers and 30+ servers, ensuring business continuity with minimal downtime.
He provided IT infrastructure and technical support for major national and international development projects, including the Mathematical Modelling and Topographic Survey for Haor Flood Management (2015–2019) with Nippon Koei Co. Ltd., the Bangladesh Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project (2013–2017) funded by the World Bank, and the Urban Water, Drainage & Sanitation in 148 Pouroshavas (2010–2014) under the Department of Public Health Engineering.
