PROFILE DESCRIPTIONS
Academic Chronology
Mr. Khondoker Mahbube Alam embarked on his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Bangladesh, completed in May 2019.
Professional Track Record
Mr. Alam has been working with IWM since 2022, contributing to a range of water supply and sewerage projects in Bangladesh. He has developed strong expertise in pipeline design, including preparing detailed construction drawings for water supply pipelines ranging from lower to higher diameters, covering both distribution networks and transmission mains, as well as preparing supporting technical documents. Mr. Alam has coordinated and supervised field teams for data collection and surveys, digitized infrastructure networks, analyzed survey and spatial data, and assisted in the preparation of comprehensive technical and feasibility reports. His work also encompasses environmental and social compliance assessments and water network functionality reviews. Notable projects include pipeline design under DESWSP for Dhaka WASA, Savar–Keraniganj Wellfield Pipeline Relocation (MRT Line-5), Khulna Sewerage System Development Project, and water network surveys in Rohingya refugee camps (UNICEF). This experience demonstrates his ability to deliver technically accurate designs, manage field data, and support sustainable water supply and sanitation systems.
