Academic Chronology

Md. Khalid Shaifullah Shuvro graduated in Civil Engineering from  Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), in 2022. He is currently pursuing his M.Sc. in Water Resource Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET)

Professional Track Record

Md. Khalid Shaifullah Shuvro began his career in 2023 as a Junior Engineer in the Survey & Data Division of the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM), where he built over two years of experience in hydrographic and geospatial surveying, data processing, and environmental monitoring. He contributed to national-scale infrastructure and environmental projects, including railway connectivity studies and North-East & South-East zone monitoring programs.He has developed strong expertise in processing bathymetric, topographic, ADCP, TLS, UAV, sediment, and water quality data, while maintaining quality control through rigorous field monitoring and accuracy verification. He is proficient in industry-standard software such as Hypack, Pix4D, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Hydropro, 3D Survey, Atlascan, DJI Tera, and Civil 3D, and skilled in operating advanced hydrological and geospatial instruments including ADCP, RTK GNSS, and total stations.In 2025, he joined the Coast, Port & Inland Waterways Management Division of IWM, where he is currently engaged in applying mathematical modelling techniques to support studies in river hydro-morphology, river erosion, and dredging.

• A training program on Training on Terrasolid LIDAR Mapping Software , 05 May to 09 May 2024 by An expert on behalf of Arc Bangladesh at IWM Bhaban
• Workshop on Artificial Intelligence from 20 to 31 July 2025, at the IEB

Major Project Assignment

• Detailed topographic survey and hydrographic & hydrometric survey for hydrological study for construction of double rail line track in Khulna-Darshana project of Bangladesh railway
• Detail Feasibility Study {Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) & Feasibility Study (FS) and Detail Design (DD)” under Small Scale Water Resources Development Project (Phase-2)”
• Hydro-Morphology Study of Bridges under Chattogram & Sylhet Division.
