Academic Chronology
Mr. Sohel Masud did his graduation in Civil Engineering from BUET in 1991 and later completed M Sc in Hydraulic Engineering from IHE, Deflt the Netherlands with specialization in River Engineering and River Basin Development. He has obtained advanced hydrodynamic and water quality modeling training during his courses at IHE and also at IWM.
Professional Track Record
Mr. Sohel Masud has a professional career of about 17 years in the design, planning and management of water resources projects in Bangladesh. Mr. Masud has served Bangladesh Water Development Board for more than 8 years working in design offices. Since 2001 he has been engaged in the use of Mathematical Hydraulic Models for improved planning of water and water related environmental studies in Institute of Water Modelling. His professional experience includes computational hydraulics, hydrodynamics, sediment transport, river morphology, river training, flood control, drainage and irrigation management.

Mr. Sohel Masud has attended a number of national and international seminars and workshops. He has participated various research works and owns a few publications on improved water resources planning using mathematical hydraulic models.
