Academic Chronology

She completed her Bachelor of Science in Civil and Water Resources Engineering from Military Institute of Science & Technology (MIST) in May 2022 and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Climate Modelling and Risk Management (CMRM) from Institute of Water and Flood Management (IWFM), Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET).

Professional Track Record

Tahia Tasnim Nuzhat has developed a strong professional foundation as a Junior Engineer at the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM), specializing in hydrological analysis, GIS, and groundwater assessment. She has contributed to several multidisciplinary projects focused on integrated water resources management, sustainable agriculture, and climate resilience across Bangladesh. Her experience includes hydrological and groundwater data analysis, GIS-based spatial analysis, data processing, hydrological analysis, satellite image processing. Tahia has worked on projects supporting feasibility studies, environmental assessments, and mathematical modelling. Through her technical expertise and analytical skills, she has contributed to the development of sustainable water management strategies, improved irrigation planning, groundwater resource evaluation, and evidence-based decision-making, helping promote resilient and efficient water resource management practices in Bangladesh.

Tahia Tasnim Nuzhat has further strengthened her expertise through specialized training in mathematical modelling at the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) and has actively participated in several prestigious national and international conferences.

• Training on “Groundwater Modelling” at IWM Headquarters, Dhaka, from 23 to 27 February 2025.
